About

About IrishBredShowjumpingResults

IrishBredShowjumpingResults (IBSR) is the showjumping sister site to IrishBredEventingResults, which has tracked the performance of Irish-bred horses across the world's eventing circuits for close to twenty years.

IBSR brings that same weekly results service to showjumping: every Irish-bred horse placed in international showjumping, in one permanent, searchable home. It stays independent, stays free for breeders and owners to use, and stays in the same voice as its sister site.

Every result traces back to the horse's breeding, so a mare sold as a foal is just as easy to find as this week's Grand Prix winner.

IrishBredShowjumpingResults is run by Charlie, because he truly loves Irish horses and wants to show the world just how special they are.

Who we are

IBER and IBSR are operated by Emer, Co. Louth, Ireland ("we", "us"), who runs the websites and is responsible for your personal data on them. The results data is collected and supplied by Charlie Ripman, who has compiled Irish-bred results for around 20 years.

Horses are not people, so horse details are not personal data. Rider names are. Rider names are shown on results for display only and cannot be searched.

If you sell a horse here, we keep your name, email and phone only to send you your ad's updates and buyers' messages; they are never shown on the site. A buyer's message to a seller is emailed to that seller. The same goes for a post saying what horse you're looking for: your details are kept only to send you sellers' answers, which are emailed to you. Correction forms and results or breeding sent in keep your contact details only so we can reply.

Riders under 18

Some riders are under 18. We show name and placing only. We do not show photos, ages or contact details. A rider or a parent/guardian can ask for removal at any time.

Who we share data with

  • Hosting and security: Cloudflare
  • Email delivery: our email service provider
  • Payments: our bank or a secure online payment provider

These providers act on our instructions under data processing terms. We do not sell personal data. Where a provider is outside the EEA, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, to object to us publishing your name, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@iber.ie. We reply within one month. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Removal and correction requests

If you are named on our sites and want your name corrected or removed, email info@iber.ie. We review requests within 14 days.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about people using AI or automated profiling.

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top.

Terms of Use

  1. Agreement. By using these websites you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the sites.
  2. Information only. Results and pedigrees come from sources including HSI and weekly results files compiled by Charlie Ripman. We take care but do not guarantee they are complete or accurate. Please check with the relevant studbook or organiser before you buy, sell or breed.
  3. "OIO" and best-guess entries. "OIO" (of Irish origin) means the breeding is not confirmed. We make no claim about those horses' breeding. Where our results software makes a best guess about a detail, the entry carries a note saying so. Treat those details as unconfirmed until checked.
  4. Corrections. Send corrections or missing results to info@iber.ie. We update promptly once checked.
  5. Intellectual property. The sites, layout, database and original content belong to us and our licensors. Charlie Ripman keeps the rights to his own articles and results files. You may link to us and quote short extracts with credit. You may not copy, scrape or republish the database, or use it to train AI models, without written permission. We reserve our rights under the EU text and data mining opt-out.
  6. Comments. Comments are held for approval. Keep them accurate and civil. No abuse, defamation, other people's personal data, or advertising. By posting, you give us a free licence to publish your comment. We may edit or remove any comment.
  7. Advertising. Ads are booked under separate ad terms. We are not responsible for advertisers' products or claims. Links to other sites are not endorsements.
  8. Liability. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, or anything the law doesn't allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses arising from relying on information on the sites. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
  9. Availability. The sites may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
  10. Governing law. Irish law applies and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

AI Statement

What we don't do.

  • We don't use AI to score, rank, profile or make decisions about riders, owners or breeders.
  • We don't use AI to create photos of horses or people.
  • We don't use AI to invent results or pedigree details.

How results are read in. Our results are read in automatically from the weekly files Charlie Ripman supplies, using standard software rather than AI. Where a detail is unclear, such as a horse's breeding, the software makes a best guess and the entry carries a visible note saying so. Those entries are checked and corrected as we confirm them. Report mistakes to info@iber.ie.

Chat or assistant features. If we add a chatbot or AI assistant, we will tell you at the start that you are talking to an AI.

  • Strictly necessary: security, the owner login (Cloudflare Access) and remembering your cookie choice. These don't need consent.
  • Site statistics: we use privacy-friendly statistics that don't use cookies or track you across sites.
  • Advertising: our ads are banner and card spaces sold directly to businesses. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Because we don't set non-essential cookies, no cookie banner is needed. If this changes, we will add a banner with "Reject all" as easy to use as "Accept all".
